The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a great robot vacuum that has a variety of smart features that make it more easy to maintain than many competing models. Its automatic bin emptying is one of the most efficient features we've encountered in an iRobot, and it works well on both hard floors and carpets. The app guides you through the entire process. It's also easy to use and set up. Another notable feature is the ability to go back to where it began in our tests. It did this for 77 mins on one cleaning before running out of battery.

The i3+ EVO is different from the other robot vacuums that we tested comes with a self-emptying bin that automatically disposes of debris in an external dirt compartment located on its charging base once it's full. The i3+ EVO is able to prevent overfilling by a self-emptying bin. However, it must still be emptied manually at the end of each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO's built-in dust bin holds 2.4L of trash, which is enough to get it through several cleaning sessions before needing to replace it.

Like the i7, this model also uses the latest floor sensors to create maps and navigate neat rows. However, the i3+ EVO only stores one map, while the i7 can store multiple. The i7 can also make use of its map to create no-go zones and virtual barriers, but the i3+ EVO cannot.

The i3+ EVO is more effective of removing surface debris compared to some other robovacs that we have looked at, but it's not the best at cleaning corners and edges. It's also a bit less gentle on furniture, despite being fairly quiet. It pushed chairs away from walls and caused some collisions with the sides of our bed, and was stuck to cords and toys while testing.

The Q5 Pro is an excellent choice, whether you are expanding your collection of robot vacuums, or just getting started. It offers a sleek design with powerful navigation and efficient automation at a low cost. It's the best value for the money available at the moment, and it even matches the Roborock models that are much more expensive in many ways.

This robot is great at cleaning floors that are not clean and its avoidance technology helps it steer away from furniture legs or other obstacles. The only drawback is that it's a little louder than other models we test and doesn't perform as well in our owner satisfaction and predicted reliability tests.

The Q5 Pro's 240 minute running time is also impressive when compared to other 2-in-1 robots we have tested. If the battery is depleted it returns to its dock and automatically recharges before resuming cleaning where it left off. You can manage the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands using Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
