While robots aren't able to substitute for a conventional vacuum in picking up ground-in debris like metal screws and chunks of orzo pasta, they're great in sweeping dust, crumbs and pet hair. 1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The iRobot Roomba i3+ is an excellent robot vacuum that comes with several smart features that make it easier to maintain. Its automatic bin emptying is one of the most efficient features we've encountered in an iRobot and it is compatible with both hard floors and carpets. It's also easy to set up and use, with the app guiding you step-by-step through the process. Another notable feature is the ability to go back to where it was when we tested it. It did this for 77 minutes in one cleaning before running out of battery.
best robot hoover i3+ EVO is different from the other robot vacuums we have tested, has a self emptying bin that automatically disposes of debris in an external dirt compartment on the base of its charging once it is fully filled. This helps reduce the need for hands-on maintenance and helps keep the i3+ EVO from overfilling, but it still requires manually empty after each cleaning session. The i3+ EVO dust bin can hold 2.4L which is enough to last through four to five cleaning sessions.

The i3+ EVO is more effective of removing surface debris in comparison to other robovacs we've reviewed, but it is not the best in cleaning corners and edges. It's also less gentle on furniture despite being relatively silent. It was a bit rough on furniture as it moved chairs away. It also made some collisions with the sides of the test bed.
2. Black & Decker Pro Q5
If you're looking to increase your robot vacuum collection or just starting out with the Q5 Pro is a great option. It offers a sleek design with a powerful navigation system, as well as efficient automation at a low cost. It's the best pound-for-pound model currently available and even matches some of Roborock's more expensive models in several ways.
This robot does a great job of cleaning floors that are not clean and its avoidance system helps it steer clear of furniture legs and other obstacles. It also performs well on carpets, and earns the highest score on our navigation tests. It's only downside is that it's more noisy than other models and doesn't do better in our user-satisfaction and predicted reliability assessments.
The Q5 Pro has a very large dust bin of 770ml which means you don't have to empty it as frequently as some other 2-in-1 robots. The Q5 Pro's 240-minute run time is also a lot when in comparison to other 2-in-1 robots that we tested. If the battery is empty it goes back to its dock and automatically recharges before resuming cleaning where it left off. You can manage the Q5 Pro using the app or voice commands via Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant.
This is the first robot we've seen with 3D mapping. This along with other advancements, helped it perform exceptionally well in our tests for vacuuming and mopping test. You can schedule cleanings or create no-go zones. You can also see the battery status. The app is easy to use, though it doesn't support Apple HomeKit which is slated to be added in 2025. Apple changed its footnote on its website in early November to reflect that the feature was delayed until 2025. HomeKit isn't compatible with several other robots, but Siri Shortcuts are.
3. TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus
If you want a robot vacuum cleaner that is able to mop, and is a great value, the TP-Link Tapo RV30 Plus is the right choice. It comes with a plethora of features for the price and features a stylish design. It can be controlled using the buttons on the device, via the app or even using voice commands. The device has an extended battery life and the vacuum container is automatically empty.
The TP-Link RV30 Plus does a great job at vacuuming standard messes and is suitable for light mopping on hard floors. It comes with a replacement mopping cloth and the sweeping brush as well as an HEPA filter. It can be used with a smart hub like Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant to allow voice control. The TP-Link RV30 Plus is easy to set up and is connected to a variety of floor surfaces with the automatic mode. This guarantees that the optimal results are achieved in every room and flooring.

The base station is well-designed and automates cleaning to a large degree. It is a great obstacle avoidance system and navigation.
The model is equipped with an internal dToF LiDAR sensor to map out your home and create efficient cleaning routes. The iMop was highly rated for its coverage and navigation. It also did an excellent job avoiding obstacles like furniture. It also has the ability to return to the base station which is a nice feature in the event it is unable to recharge its battery during cleaning.
The spot cleaning mode allows you to clean a specific area of your floor. It can also be programmed to follow a particular route. This is ideal for narrow hallways or stairs. In our carpet cleaning test it was successful in cleaning carpets. However, it had a difficult time to clean rugs and carpets with larger piles. It is also able to automatically raise the mop pad once it comes into contact with carpet, which is a great feature to avoid mopping your carpets.
The iMop has an onboard dustbin and a water tank, which it empties at the end every cleaning session. The dust bin that is onboard can hold up to 2.5 Liters of debris and is only required to be emptying it every few cleaning cycles. The water tank can handle half a dozen mopping session before it runs out. The iMop is more easy to maintain and clean than the typical robot cleaner, and can be an important benefit for busy households.
The iMop smartphone app is simple to use and comes with a variety of configuration options. It comes with multiple suction settings as well as mopping settings, and scheduling.
